Vancouver, British Columbia
Investing in people, communities & the places we share.
The F & E Strumpski Foundation is a private charitable foundation supporting organizations that help Canadians learn, heal, connect, and care for the natural world.

About the Foundation
A family legacy, rooted in generosity.
Founded by F & E Strumpski, the Foundation carries forward a simple belief: that lasting change happens when people are given the tools, trust, and time to build better lives for themselves and those around them.
From our home in Vancouver, we partner with registered charities and qualified donees across Canada. We favour long-term relationships over one-time gifts, and we listen closely to the communities our partners serve.
“Give where it grows. Stay long enough to see it flourish.”
Focus Areas
Where we direct our support
Our giving is concentrated in four areas where we believe steady, patient funding makes the greatest difference.
Education & Youth
Scholarships, mentorship, and learning programs that open doors for young people and adult learners alike.
Health & Wellbeing
Access to care, mental health supports, and services for seniors, families, and people facing serious illness.
Community Resilience
Food security, housing, and newcomer support that help neighbourhoods stay connected and strong.
Environment
Conservation and stewardship of the forests, coastlines, and watersheds that define British Columbia.
Our Approach
How we give
Good philanthropy is as much about how we give as what we fund. These principles shape every partnership.
- Trust-based
- We provide flexible, multi-year funding and keep reporting light so partners can focus on their work.
- Community-led
- The people closest to a challenge are best placed to solve it. We follow their lead.
- Long-term
- We measure success in years, not quarters, and stay with our partners through change.
- Accountable
- We steward every dollar carefully and share what we learn openly with the sector.
